YMCA Victoria - Heads Together Camp

YMCA Victoria is a not-for-profit organisation servicing 108 communities state- wide. The services they provide include leadership development, community development, youth services, camping and outdoor education, volunteer development, health and fitness, out of hours services, counseling, single parent services, juvenile justice and disability services.

The money raised by Comic Relief has supported YMCA’s Heads Together Camp. This is a three-day residential camp supporting Victorian families who have a child with an acquired brain injury (ABI) and as a family are still learning to deal with the impact that the trauma is having on the family.

The camp is unique in that it provides a program of activities for the whole family to expand their support network and enjoy a weekend away as a family in a supportive and non-clinical environment.
