Young Carers

There are 2.3 million carers in Australia, or one in every five households. Of these carers, about 388,000 are aged between 8 and 25yrs - caring for a sibling or another family member who has an illness or disability. Young carers are being supported by Comic Relief Australia through Carers Associations who provide support and services to family carers to achieve an improved quality of life. For Young Carers this includes fun recreational activities like a day out sailing, mentoring programs and activity camps.
